NYC Simple Sites

I build, film, and run websites for businesses on my block.

Nick Timmons · East Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Delis, bakeries and shops around Leonard St. I'm not going to describe the work. It's below. Old site on the left, new site on the right. Drag the handle.

Three sites from the block

Before is what they had. After is what they have now. Nothing here is a mockup of a mockup.

Exhibit A Corner Deli, Graham Ave

Serving since 1987. The old site had a visitor counter. It said 4,213. It did not work on a phone. The new one has a phone number you can tap, pickup ordering, and this week's specials. That's it. That's what a deli site is for.

Exhibit B Rise Bakery

Their menu was a PDF called MENU_FINAL_v2. The link to it was broken. Now the menu is the page, and it says the thing customers actually need to know: most days they sell out by noon.

Exhibit C Leonard Auto

"For appointments please call the shop during business hours." Also a fax number. No tap-to-call. Now: three prices people actually search for, and the next openings so you can book without phoning.

Who you're dealing with

I'm your neighbor, not a call center.

One person. Me. If your site is wrong, you don't open a ticket, you tell me and I fix it. I know what your counter looks like because I've stood in front of it.

I only work with businesses on and around my block, so the work has to be good. I'm going to see you.

What I do

Three things. I do all three, or whichever you need.

No packages, no tiers, no "enterprise". A deli needs the same site a bakery does: hours, what's on, how to call.

  1. I build it

Free demo first. I build your site before you've paid me anything. You look at it on your phone, you show your cousin, and then you decide. If you don't want it, we shake hands and that's that.

Free demo  decide after you've seen it
  2. I film it

Real footage, shot on the block, by me. Your counter, your bread, your bay. Not stock video of some other guy's shop in some other city. People can tell.

Shot by me  on your block
  3. I keep it running

$75 a month, cancel anytime. Hosting, fixes, and changes are included. Call me with a new special and it's live the same day you call. Not next week. Today.

Exhibit D

Call me with a special. It's up the same day.

This is Grand St Grocery's page. Open 7am to 11pm, every day. When the avocados come in cheap, they call me, and this week's specials change that afternoon. That's what the $75 a month is for.

No login, no dashboard you have to learn. You already know how to make a phone call.

What it costs

$500to launch
$75a month, after that
Cancel anytime.no contract

$500 gets the site built, filmed and launched. $75 a month keeps it running and gets your changes made the same day. Stop paying, the site comes down, no argument. You'll have seen the demo before any of this, so there's no guessing.

Email or call me with the name of your shop. I'll build the demo.

Tell me the shop and the street. I'll come by, look at what you've got, and build you a site to look at. No charge for that part.
